Set your alarms, Chicago — The last batch of museum tickets at the Obama Presidential Center go on sale Wednesday morning, and officials expect demand for seats to be high.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m., according to the Obama Foundation. Tickets will be available for purchase at obama.org.
The foundation said it expected interest to be high and that potential ticket holders may face a wait when they go to purchase, but assured that places in line would be maintained in a virtual queue.
People will be able to buy up to nine tickets, which are sold on a timed basis and cost between $15 and $30. Tickets will provide admission to the museum from the fall through January 3, 2027.
The museum is currently sold out until September. Tickets for the first round, running until November 30, went on sale in May and quickly sold out within the first few months of admission.
“The overwhelming interest we have seen since opening our doors is a powerful reminder of how many people are looking for places that bring us together,” Valerie Jarrett, CEO of the Obama Foundation, said in a statement late last month when the additional round of ticket sales was initially announced.
The Obama Center opened to the public June 19 after a celebrity-filled ceremony on June 18, and the museum is the only part of the 19.3-acre campus that requires a ticket.
The remaining areas of the Jackson Park neighborhood are free and open to the public, including the Home Court Sports Center, public art, a branch of the Chicago Public Library, and a café and restaurant. The site is open from 6:00 to 21:00 daily.
The museum is open from 13:00 to 20:00 on Mondays, from 10:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday. Tickets are non-refundable and protected from resale.
