Connor Murphy, a fitness YouTuber who gained popularity for his appearance-enhancing workouts, has died in Thailand, according to Fitness Volt. The fitness enthusiast was either 31 or 32 years old, depending on the source. As of July 2026, no statements have been made by his relatives or representatives.
Fitness Volt reported that a rescue team was called to a luxury residential area of Bang Phli district in Samut Prakan province shortly after 3:00 pm local time on July 7, 2026, following reports that a foreigner had been spotted in the lake. Divers recovered his body from the water at a depth of 20 meters from the shore. There were no visible signs of any irregularities. An autopsy and tests will be performed and the US Embassy will be informed.
According to ThaiRath, before the police intervened, a village worker recorded video of M. Murphy’s erratic behavior, including him trying to give money to the driver, approaching someone’s car, shouting, rolling on the road, making prayer movements and others. When police arrived on the scene, Murphy ran into the village and into the lake, where he swam until exhausted and drowned at a depth of more than 10 meters. Divers found him about 30 minutes later.
Murphy’s friend, a 22-year-old woman whom he had been dating for about three years and had just returned to after being away for some time, told ThaiRath that she had never seen her boyfriend take drugs before and had nothing to say about his unusual behavior.
The rental home, valued at approximately $600,000, was allegedly found with paint smeared all over the house, from furniture to appliances. Investigators say two unused syringes were found in Murphy’s car along with unknown pills in his fanny pack. However, these facts can neither confirm nor deny the cause of death.
