Biathlon star Yuni Arnekleev fell in love again. Her boyfriend is a famous person in ski racing.
Arnekleev confirmed to TV2 her relationship with Aron Okre Risstad. “A handsome and handsome country boy with a charming dialect and the coolest men’s suit in Norway,” the biathlete raved about her new friend.
Arnekleev recently shared vacation photos with Okre Rystad on Instagram. “The pinnacle of national romanticism,” wrote a Norwegian ski hunter.
Olympic bronze in biathlon relay
In the last biathlon season, Arnekleev finished 85th in the overall World Cup standings. At the 2026 Winter Olympics, she won a bronze medal as a member of the Norwegian relay team.
The Norwegian Biathlon Association has again included Arnekleev in its elite team for the upcoming season. Additionally, Team A includes Maren Hjelmeseth Kirkade, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, Martha Krokstad Johansen, Caroline Offigstad Knotten and Gro Rendby.
Norwegian biathlon stars are now preparing for the upcoming winter world championships. The season officially starts on November 24 in Kontiolahti, Finland. The highlight will be the 2027 World Championships (February 10 to 21) in Otepää (Estonia).
Big cross-country skiing competition
Arnekleev’s friend Akre Rysstad is an active cross-country skier. The 27-year-old made his World Cup debut in November 2021. In the 2025/26 season, Åkre Rystad finished 121st overall.
The competition in the Norwegian national team is huge. Only seven Norwegians finished in the top 10 overall in the cross-country World Cup last winter.
The coming season begins like in biathlon in Finland. The starting signal will be given on November 27 in Ruka. The World Ski Championships will be held in Falun, Sweden (February 24 – March 7, 2027).
