I can’t tell you the full reason because I don’t really know myself, but the meeting between Switzerland and Colombia in the 1/8 finals of the World Cup is an incredible feeling.
It’s a good job then when they meet at the World Cup Round of 16 stage. Both teams have impressed so far and the European representative is slowly entering the tournament. However, they are now looking at the level we have come to expect from an experienced tournament team.
Colombia’s four games were low scoring games. Uzbekistan are the only team to find a way out of this defense when they equalized in their first game, although they keep losing 3-1.
In attack, they showed more than a team that managed to strike only twice in the last three matches. Only four teams recorded more shots, five on target, while the rest scored twice as many goals or more.
Like some other knockout stage competitions, this one is difficult to call, although I feel Switzerland are slightly better than their affordable price of 5/2 to win inside 90 minutes, along with 11/8 to reach the quarter-finals.
