Kylian Mbappe celebrating next to a green question mark

1: France

So far in this tournament we have looked invincible. Terrible in attack and Kylian Mbappe in excellent form. The team to beat.

2: Spain

So far it’s quiet and efficient. After a shocking 0-0 draw with Cape Verde in the first leg, Spain are quietly facing the crisis. More to come.

3: Argentina

Lionel Messi. What more needs to be said? With the “little wizard” in charge, Argentina looked very impressive despite a huge scare against Cape Verde before winning 3-2 in the last 32.

4: Brazil

Few people talked about the Brazilian national team before the tournament, but Carlo Ancelotti is delighted with them. After Vinicius Jr’s dismissal, they cannot be ruled out.

5: Morocco

Semi-finalists from four years ago and looking capable of going deeper again. Will be a strong opponent for anyone.

6: Colombia

One of the brightest teams at the World Cup at the moment. Full of pace and dynamism, Luis Diaz is like stardust.

7: Mexico

Explosive in attack and powerful in the back. A favorable draw so far, but no doubt will be a huge test for England.

8: England

An impressive second half in the first half against Croatia, a 4-2 win, but they have struggled to reach those heights since. The job has been done, but it needs to be improved.

9: Norway

Maybe it’s a little unfair to be so low. Erling Haaland, as always, looks full of heads and has a capable cast. Solid, more than impressive.

10: USA

Football fever is growing in the States, and the hosts look organized. Lack of that X-factor can hurt them.

11: Portugal

This tournament hasn’t picked up steam yet, but they’re still there. Players are still capable of magic.

12: Switzerland

A first knockout win at the World Championships since 1938 is cause for celebration for Switzerland. Their tournament has gone smoothly so far, but Colombia will be a huge test.

13: Egypt

To make further progress, Mohamed Salah must join the party.

14: Belgium

After losing to Senegal for a long time in the last 32 matches, they somehow found a way, losing two matches, and winning 3-2. To go further, you will need to improve significantly.

15: Canada

Perhaps already exceeding expectations. However, it only gets more complicated from here.

16: Paraguay

She has produced one of the tournament’s shocks so far by beating Germany, but further progress could be difficult.
