It’s sweltering mornings for Fourth of July parades, hot for afternoon barbecues, and hot for evening fireworks displays.

Isolated storms possible

Most plans for the Fourth of July remain dry, but there could be a few afternoon storms with brief showers and lightning.
Keep an eye on the radar if you’re going to a fireworks display, FIFA Fan Fest or World Cup match.
Rain chances will increase early next week
Things will become wetter early next week as moisture from deeper waters moves into the Gulf.
Scattered showers and storms become more likely Monday and Tuesday, bringing better rain coverage to Southeast Texas. Temperatures will remain in the 90s next week.
