Listeria infection was detected in the Parmentier duck served at the Lot of Saviors Festival Grand Banquet this Saturday, June 27th. No cases of the disease have been reported at this time, but a medical investigation is ongoing. Gran Cahors calls for vigilance.
Traces of Listeria in Parmentier duck were heard during the Lot of Rescuers Grand Banquet on Saturday 27 June among more than 2,000 guests. This statement was just made by Gran Cahors.
The heat wave was still hanging over the Site that weekend. To avoid having to sit at the table in the heat, some guests can come and pick up their dish during the day. This Friday, July 3, as part of the sanitary control plan, a self-test was carried out at the Grand Cahors culinary production, which revealed traces of listeria.
There are no sick people at the moment
Gran Cahors points out: “Research is currently being carried out to determine the origin of this contamination. It should be noted that samples were taken from the sample before reheating, and reheating reduces the risks. Although vigilance is still necessary, no illnesses have been reported yet.”
