Argentina avoided a World Cup shock after Cape Verde sent it into extra time with a 3-2 win in Miami.
The game ended 1:1 after 90 minutes.
Lionel Messi gave Argentina the lead in the 29th minute when he fired into the net after a stunning pass from Lisandro Martinez.
Cape Verde shocked the hosts in the 59th minute when Deroy Duarte fired into the bottom corner to equalize.
Argentina had chances to win the game in 90 minutes, but Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha, 40, made several saves, including one from point-blank range from Messi.

Martinez put Argentina back in front in the second minute of extra time with a shot into the back of the net.
But Cape Verde fought back again and leveled the score thanks to a stunning curling shot from Sidney Lopez Cabral.
The winner came in the 111th minute when Cristian Romero’s header from a corner went past the hand of Dinay Borges.
Cape Verde’s World Cup adventure is over: Argentina advances to the round of 16 and will face Egypt.
