A weak ridge of high pressure will allow weak disturbances to affect North Texas in the coming days.
Friday will be mostly sunny, with the chance of an isolated flurry in the late afternoon.
Highs rise into the mid to upper 90s, with heat indexes above 100.
If you’re heading to Dallas Stadium for the World Cup match between Australia and Egypt or planning to go out to watch the fireworks, remember to wear sunscreen, take breaks in the shade and stay hydrated.

Expect similar conditions through the holiday weekend, with a low chance of afternoon and evening storms mainly east of Interstate 35.
