Ange Postecoglou has signed a two-year contract as coach of Saudi Professional League champions Al Nasr and will join Cristiano Ronaldo at the Riyadh side.
The former Tottenham and Australia manager was left without a job after playing eight games for Nottingham Forest last season.
The 60-year-old, who won five major honors in two seasons at Scottish club Celtic, was appointed as Scotland manager following the resignation of Steve Clarke following the team’s exit from the World Cup group stages.

But Postecoglou is now back in charge alongside Al Nasr, who won the Saudi title for the first time in seven years last season under Stefano Pioli, who was sacked after less than a year in charge.
A club statement said: “A new chapter. Mr. Ange Postecoglou as coach of the first football team of the An-Nasr Club. And this is with a contract extended for two seasons.

Although Ronaldo is Postecoglou’s most prominent player, he will also coach the likes of Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman and Joao Felix.
41-year-old Ronaldo is on duty at the World Cup with Portugal. He equalized from the penalty spot in the round of 16 against Croatia but was substituted when Gonçalo Ramos headed home a late winner. Portugal suffered an even later VAR dispute which ruled out Croatia’s goal and progress to the last 16, where they will play Spain.
