Moulay Hassan and Lalla Khadija left Morocco to find their mother in Capri. The children of Mohammed VI were seen in the port of the Italian island next to the now modest Lalla Salma.
The former symbol of the Moroccan crown, Lalla Salma, has kept a low profile for eight years. Having married Mohammed VI in 2001, the princess divorced him in 2018 without any official statement from the palace. We will have to wait until the king’s lawyer, Eric Dupont-Moretti, confirms the news in July 2019, calling the princess the “ex-wife” of the sovereign.
During the 17 years that their marriage lasted, Mohammed VI and Lalla Salma had two children, who are now 23 and 19 years old. Although they no longer live with their mother, Moulay Hassan and Princess Khadija have never been separated from her. The two young men regularly take photos with her during the summer, enjoying wonderful holidays with her by their side.

In 2024, Moulay Hassan and Lalla Salma were spotted together on the streets of Mykonos, Greece. Two years later, Capri on the Gulf of Naples was chosen for a family holiday. On July 2 this year, the princess and her two children were filmed arriving at the island’s port, where they were greeted by mayor Paolo Falco.

Although it was time for vacation, the heir to the throne did not abandon his seriousness and wore a suit and tie to a meeting with local authorities. Following him, his mother appeared wearing a large hat covering part of her face. The youngest, Lalla Khadija, brought up the rear, dressed in white trousers and a beige top, with her hair down.
According to local media outlet Capri Post, the island’s port was the subject of a large-scale security operation to ensure the peaceful reception of the family. After disembarking, the princess and her three children boarded cars to travel to the villa, where they would no doubt spend the summer out of sight.
