Joao Fonseca x Roman Safiullin at Wimbledon: see time and where to watch

Joao Fonseca will take to the court this Friday for his third test at Wimbledon. The Brazilian, currently ranked 27th in the world, will face Russian Roman Safiullin, ranked 132nd in the world. The match will take place at 7am (Brasilia time) on court 2.

Joao Fonseca, the tournament’s 24th seed, will arrive to face Safiullin after beating Dutchman Jesper de Jong 3-0 last Wednesday on scores of 6/1, 7/5 and 6/4. Earlier, in his Grand Slam debut, the Brazilian defeated Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut 3-0 with scores of 7/6 (7-4), 6/4 and 6/3.

Rival Joao Safiullin has already beaten Dutchman Botich van de Zandschulp at the tournament with a score of 3:2 and his compatriot Andrei Rublev, currently in the top 15 of the world rankings.

If the Brazilian gets the better of the Russian, he could face Novak Djokovic (8th seed) in the round of 16. The memory of the last match between them is great for João Fonseca, who defeated the historical tennis player in a confrontation at Roland Garros.
