Katie Swan’s Wimbledon dream came to an end on Thursday when she lost in the second round to American Madison Keys 6-1, 6-4.
Swan, the only British singles player remaining after the first round, made headlines with her victory on Tuesday, which came after years of battling injuries.
However, the second round proved to be a step too far as the ruthless Keys took over in front of the royal family, with Catherine, Princess of Wales watching on Court 1 alongside British tennis queen Andy Murray.
