Residents of NCR areas including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad were worried about the humid heat but today (Thursday) rain started the day making the weather pleasant. Good rainfall was recorded in areas like Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Dwarka, Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.

Mahesh Palawat, vice president of weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, said the monsoon season extends from Punjab to North Bay of Bengal. There is an area of ​​cyclonic winds in the North Bay of Bengal due to which a low pressure area may develop. It will move westwards and cause heavy rainfall from Bihar to North Punjab.

In what direction is the monsoon moving?
According to the meteorological department, the northern limit of the monsoon on July 1 will pass through Porbandar, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Shajapur, Naugaon, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Badaun, Meerut, Karnal and Gurdaspur.
