Reports in the UK claim that Roberto De Zerbi is looking to add another left winger to his ranks at Tottenham Hotspur, and that the club have held informal talks with Milan for Rafael Leao, who is on Spurs’ three-player shortlist.
Leao option for Tottenham after record deal with Tonali
Tottenham have made it clear they are willing to invest heavily to avoid a repeat of the 2025-26 season, which saw them nearly relegated despite winning the Europa League the year before.
The news headline is that Italy is internationally Sandro Tonali is set to join in a club record deal worth €116 million including bonuses.. This is in addition to another expensive deal for Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Jean-Paul van Hecke from Brighton & Hove Albion. The North Londoners also bring proven Premier League experience in Andrew Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers.

If Tottenham bring in another left-winger of starting quality, the club’s total summer spending could approach the €400m (£350m) mark, according to reports Independent.
The Independent reports that Tottenham and De Zerbi prefer striker Eli Junior Crupi from Bournemouth, who is valued at around €93m (£80m).

A report on Thursday claims that Tottenham have a shortlist of three players for the left-wing position, which also includes Milan’s Leao and Manchester City’s Savigno. The Independent reports that there have been informal discussions between Spurs and Milan over Leao.
