Jesper Ceesay left IFK Norrköping just over a year ago to play in Turkey and Antalyaspor. The Swede had a strong season and played 31 games in the championship.
The performances aroused the interest of foreign clubs, and last winter the Chinese team Beijing Guoan was close to buying Xisei, but in the end the clubs did not come to an agreement.
Now that the summer window has opened, the move is brewing.
Negotiations with two clubs
According to internal information from Expressen, Al-Fateh from Saudi Arabia and English Portsmouth are competing for Ceesay.
Both bids are worth around a million euros, which equates to approximately eleven million crowns, and Expressen learns that the clubs are in negotiations over the transfer.
Portsmouth have been keeping an eye on Sisi for a long time and have shown interest in him on several occasions. Last season the club finished in 18th place in the Championship.
Al Fateh finished eleventh in the Saudi Pro League, the country’s top league.
