Karim Adeyemi has been tipped as a possible candidate to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. As seen in the media report, surprising changes could be on the horizon for the 24-year-old BVB professional.
According to Swiss affiliate Sky, Saudi Arabian club Al Ahly have added Adeyemi to their transfer list. Personnel are currently the subject of internal consultations only. Because: Al Ahly only wants to take Adeyemi seriously if Algerian veteran Riyad Mahrez leaves the club.
However, it is doubtful that the Munich native will be ready for adventure in the desert. It has so far been reported that Adeyemi is considering a move to the English Premier League, where there is said to be widespread interest. His wife, famous rapper Loredana, easily imagines moving to a European metropolis.
The most profitable, from Adeyemi’s point of view, would be a free transfer from BVB in the summer of 2027, when his contract expires. Bild recently reported, citing information from the industry, that in this case the lightning-fast attacker will receive a cash bonus of 15 million euros. However, BVB left empty-handed.
The runner-up has been in talks with Adeyemi over a contract extension for some time now. Stumbling blocks in the negotiations are reportedly salary and a possible exit clause for the eleven-time international, who was left out of Germany’s World Cup squad.
BVB: Adeyemi defends himself against rumors
Adeyemi himself last commented on the ongoing rumors about his future at BVB or beyond a few weeks ago.
“I have expressed my support for Dortmund quite often. I don’t think I will have to repeat it again and again,” he told the Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper. “I want to play for a club that plans with me and communicates this clearly to me.”
Adeyemi also spoke about the reporting that surrounded him at the time. “I often find out about a lot of things only through the media or because they send them to me – and they are simply not true. For example, when it comes to salary requirements or something like that,” he emphasized.
