Ice Cube and Nia Long reunite for Have they already left?which is currently in early development after being acquired by Skydance Sports, two decades after the pair starred alongside each other in Are we there yet? (2005) and Are we done yet? (2007).
In the latest installment of the comedy franchise, written by Chris Hazzard and Mike Fontana, Nick faces his biggest challenge yet… his grandchildren.
“We’ve created something special with this franchise. People have grown up with Nick Persons and now Nick has grandchildren. Time flies,” says Ice Cube. โPartnering with Skydance to bring this story to a new generation is exactly what CubeVision was created to do and I couldnโt be more excited about this new partnership.โ
In the first film, bachelor Nick (Ice Cube) must accommodate his sweetheart Suzanne (Long) when he agrees to transport her children Lindsay (Aleisha Allen) and Kevin (Philip Daniel Bolden) to their grandmother’s house in his prized Lincoln Navigator. In the sequel, the family moves to the suburbs when Nick runs into their contractor Chuck (John C. McGinley).

Because the films grossed more than $156 million worldwide, TBS adapted them. Are we there yet? in a sitcom starring Terry Crews and Essence Atkins that ran for three seasons from 2010 to 2013.
