Infantino showers Argentina with praise
The FIFA chief continued: “The Albiceleste’s excellent performance also played a decisive role in making this edition a remarkable event that has captivated millions of football fans around the world.”
Infantino asks Tapia to convey his congratulations to all participants: “The players, coach Lionel Scaloni, as well as the coaching and medical team and, of course, the many fans who accompanied and cheered for the team throughout the competition.”

The official anthem of praise was not well received by many fans on social media and fueled speculation that Lionel Messi and co were being favored even further. Many users were outraged by Infantino and FIFA.
Anger over the judge’s decisions
During the World Cup, the decisions of individual judges were repeatedly discussed. Argentina’s victory in the 1/8 finals over Egypt (3-2) caused particular excitement.
