INDIANAPOLIS — The 30th Brickyard 400 is starting soon!
Fans came from all over the state and country to see NASCAR Cup Series cars and stars compete in the 400-mile race around the greatest racetrack in the world.
In addition to racing for the chance to kiss the pack, Ryan Blaney and Todd Gilliland are also competing for $1 million in NASCAR’s In-Season Challenge.

RACE
Circle 59 – Ty Gibbs beat second-place Michael McDowell by 1.76. Next in the flock there is a massive onslaught of lands. Erik Jones dropped five positions after the restart. Noah Gragson dropped 11 places.
Circle 56 – The green flag is raised and Stage 2 begins. Ty Gibbs leads into the first turn and Michael McDowell passes Corey Heim for second.
Circle 50 – Ty Gibbs wins Stage 1, followed by Corey Heim, Michael McDowell, Carson Hocevar, William Byron, Denny Hamlin, Daniel Suarez, Chase Briscoe, Chris Buescher and Tyler Reddick.
Circle 47 – After Larson’s accident, Ty Gibbs takes the lead of the race. Carson Hocevar is in second place, followed by Daniel Suarez, Corey Haim, Michael McDowell, William Byron, Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Chase Briscoe and Alex Bowman.
Circle 46 – Replays show Larson spun at the apex of turn three and hit the outside wall. It looks like Larson’s tire has blown.
Circle 45 – Kyle Larson fails while leading the race! Larson was running in second when leader Corey Heim pitted, but now Larson is in the wall of the north chute!

Circle 42 – Now Tyler Reddick makes his pit stop. Ryan Blaney follows in second place. Corey Haim now takes the lead in the race.
Circle 41 – Denny Hamlin now leads, and Tyler Reddick inherits first place. Neither Reddick nor second-place Corey Haim have pitted yet.
Circle 40 – Alex Bowman, Chris Buescher, Ross Chastain, Cole Custer, Connor Zilisch all hit pit road.
Circle 36 – Here’s the current top 10 as they play: Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Corey Haim, Alex Bowman, Cole Custer, Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, Erik Jones, John Hunter Nemechek, Brad Keselowski.
Circle 35 – Denny Hamlin, who has yet to pit, will inherit the lead. Tyler Reddick is in second place and Corey Haim is in third.
Circle 33 – Daniel Suarez now leads the pit stops, but locks up his tires when entering the pit stop. Meanwhile, Hochevar pulls out BEHIND Kyle Larson and likely loses the clear lead in the race.
Circle 32 – Carson Hocevar enters pit road in the lead while Suarez, Reddick and Hamlin remain on the sidelines fighting for the lead.
Circle 31 – Michael McDowell and AJ Allmendinger are in 6th and 7th positions, respectively.
Circle 30 – Ty Gibbs is the first top-five driver to hit pit road.
Circle 29 – Kyle Larson, the 2024 Brickyard winner, heads to pit road for his first stop of the day. He can remain the lap leader and is currently running 31st.
Circle 28 – Daniel Suarez narrowed the gap to Carson Hocevar. Suarez is now 0.5 seconds behind the leader. Meanwhile, William Byron – the biggest player by far – heads to pit road for his first stop of the day.
Circle 27 – Chase Briscoe pits from 14th for four tires and fuel.
Circle 25 – Ty Dillon and Cody Ware, both running from behind, came to pit road for four tires and fuel.
Circle 23 – Chase Elliott, whose car is also reportedly having trouble steering, heads to pit road for four fresh tires and fuel.
Circle 19 – Austin Dillon dropped 19 spots to last, 39th. Dillon entered pit road with a flat tire.
Circle 13 – Austin Dillon has dropped 11 places since the start of the race as TV coverage begins to speculate on whether he is in trouble. At the opposite end of the spectrum, William Byron, the most successful player at the moment, has now risen to 13th place. That’s eight positions Byron has gained since starting.
Circle 12 – Hometown hero Chase Briscoe has lost two places since the start of the race and is currently ranked 13th.
Circle 10 – Fifth of Stage 1, here’s the order: Hochevar, Suarez, Reddick, Hamlin, Gibbs, Heim, Larson, McDowell, Allmendinger, Bowman.
Circle 9 – Carson Hocevar extended his lead over teammate Daniel Suarez to 2.5 seconds.
Circle 7 – Since the start, William Byron has risen six positions to 15th place. He is currently the biggest player in the race.
Circle 4 – Fifth-place runner Ty Gibbs may have made light contact with the outside wall, but he keeps going.
Circle 3 – Carson Hochevar led teammate Daniel Suarez by 2.3 seconds.
Circle 2 – Hochevar leads the first lap, followed by Suarez, Reddick, Hamlin, Gibbs and Heim.
