Amazon announces Blade Runner 2099 release date with trailer: a television series based on the film saga created by Ridley Scott will be available on the platform Prime Video starting November 25th.
The video introduces the main characters of the show, who The action takes place fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049. and aims to greatly expand this sci-fi universe while leaving the noir soul of the franchise intact.
According to showrunner Silka Louise, Scott was actively involved in the creative development of the series.providing valuable guidance on both a visual and narrative level in an attempt to support the team’s work and address some of the fundamental aspects of the Blade Runner world.

Narrative Assumptions
Announced in 2022, Blade Runner 2099 is about a world different from what we’ve seen before, shaken replicant uprising which over the last fifty years has given rise to a real war, the result of which has been the overthrow of the pre-established order.
He will be the main character of the show Michelle Yeoh playing OlwenA Blade Runner replicant tasked with tracking down a group of missing rebel replicants. Olwen, however, is experiencing his final days, just as Roy Batty did in the original film.
