Farlands is a new cozy farming RPG that you can try completely free on PlayStation.
Developed by JanduSoft, the 2D graphics are reminiscent of classic RPGs of yesteryear, like those you’ll find in The Legend of Zelda franchise.
However, according to its concept Farlands perhaps has more in common with No Man’s Sky.
“Congratulations, you bought your own planet!” The synopsis begins.
“An agricultural stone at the edge of the galaxy, which for some reason was given away practically for free.
“So, it’s time to leave your hectic, stressful life in a crowded metropolis for a more rural and fulfilling life.”
Farlands players will have to clear paths, develop fields, cut out weeds and, in essence, turn an abandoned space into a prosperous, cozy estate.
However, this is an RPG, so you’ll have to do a lot more than just farming.

Players are equipped with a spaceship in which they can explore the solar system, collecting resources from the planets they visit.
These resources, in turn, can be used to upgrade your home, tools, and ship.
This is not a densely populated world, but you will meet some interesting NPCs, some of which still remain on the inhabited planets of the solar system.
Get to know each other Farlands‘ NPC, and you will find out why the galaxy is so distant and why exactly these people decided to stay.

“An entire planet at a bargain price? There might be a reason for that… It might not be as easy as it first seemed,” the developers tease.
Earlier this month, the game left early access on PC and simultaneously appeared on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Farlands there is a free demo version in which you can try 10 game days completely free of charge
A quick look at the PC version will show you just how popular Farlands proved to be correct at the time of writing with a current historical rating of 91%.
On PlayStation you can try a free demo Farlandsand although the average score is 3.57, 51% of players received a perfect score of five out of five.
You can’t leave a written review on the PlayStation Store, but here are some reviews from Steam.
“Really impressive and great game. The space twist is quite fun and interesting, the concept of exploring multiple planets is amazing and beautiful,” one player commented.
“Farlands has a solid foundation and a game loop that kept me hooked. The ship travel system is one of its strengths,” another added.
The demo version should let you feel what Farlands can offer, giving you access to 10 game days; just find it Farlands to find the demo on the PlayStation Store.
If you like what you’re playing, the full game retails for $17.99, although there may be special offers depending on what territory you’re in.
