Grammy Award-winning American singer Chris Brown pleaded guilty on Friday to affray over an altercation at a London nightclub following a brawl that left the music producer injured.

Brown, 37, changed his plea during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London. He previously denied more serious allegations over the 2023 row.

In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors dropped charges of assault, attempted grievous bodily harm and use of an offensive weapon.

Brown denied attacking Abraham Diaw with a bottle at the Tape nightclub in fashionable Mayfair in February 2023.

Prosecutors said the fight was captured on surveillance camera in front of a club full of people.

Brown was released on £5 million ($6.75 million) bail, which allowed him to tour Europe and North America last summer.

He was released on bail again on Friday and will be sentenced on October 26 on the affray charge.

Brown, who rose to fame as a teenager in 2005, won his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album in 2011 for “FAME.” Earlier this year, he earned his second award in the same category for 11:11 (Deluxe).
