Elon Musk said Wednesday that he plans to create a feature-length version of Homer’s “Odyssey” that will be “historically accurate” and true to the author’s intentions.
The 55-year-old reposted a three-minute scene from a mythological poem about X, which the user said was created by X’s Grok Imagine.
“Before the end of this year, Grok Imagine will produce a feature-length film, The Odyssey, that will be historically accurate and faithful to the art of Homer,” wrote the billionaire owner of X.

His comments come amid ongoing controversy over the casting of Christopher Nolan’s epic film version of the classic, which premiered last weekend, particularly the casting of Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy.
Musk has been criticizing “The Odyssey” since February, when he reposted a user who claimed Nyong’o’s participation would be an “insult” to Homer because the poem described her as “fair-skinned blonde and ‘the face that launched a thousand ships’ because she was so beautiful that men went to war over her.”

“Chris Nolan has lost his integrity,” Musk responded at the time.
He also replied “True” after a repost from conservative commentator Matt Walsh who said: “Not a single person on the planet actually thinks Lupita Nyong’o is ‘the most beautiful woman in the world.’ But Christopher Nolan knows he’ll be called a racist if he gives the role of ‘most beautiful woman’ to a white woman.”

Musk also said in May that Nolan’s film had a diverse cast because he “wants to win awards.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to Nolan’s representatives for comment.
“The Odyssey” gave Nolan, who also directed blockbusters such as the “Dark Knight” and “Oppenheimer” trilogy, the best worldwide opening weekend of his career – more than $264 million – after opening last Friday.
