Adrien Broner was accused of sexual assault and his streaming partner Dean the Great of defamation in a lawsuit filed last month in Los Angeles.
The lawsuit, filed by a woman named Havana Saint, accuses the two men of “extreme and outrageous behavior beyond all bounds acceptable in a civilized society” during a series of livestreams in early June.
In the lawsuit, she alleges that during a series of broadcast events between June 2 and June 8, Broner “repeatedly pressured Plaintiff into sexual activity after repeated refusals, attempted to isolate Plaintiff, repeatedly pressured Plaintiff while intoxicated, attempted unwanted physical contact, publicly humiliated Plaintiff, and made false statements of a sexual nature about Plaintiff in front of a livestream audience.”
Dean the Great is accused of repeatedly and falsely telling livestream viewers that Saint “had sexual contact with multiple people.”
Kick, the streaming platform used by Broner and Dean, is accused of negligence for failing to remove content featuring Saint, investigate Broner and Dean’s alleged behavior, or suspend their accounts.
In her complaint, Saint says she met Broner at an event in Los Angeles on June 2 and was invited to an “after-party” with him and Dean in Encino. Once there, she says, Broner “encouraged” her to continue drinking to the point where she was unable to drive home.
She agreed to stay the night and was given a room where she “attempted to go to sleep immediately.” However, according to the complaint, Broner “repeatedly and persistently” pressured her to perform sexual acts, even after she said she was not interested in men.
After some time, she alleges, Broner “exposed his genitals and physically grabbed (her) arm in an attempt to force or pressure (her) into sexual behavior against her wishes.”
The next day, under circumstances Saint describes as “coercive”, she, still in her pajamas, followed two men to several public places.
Later that day, she returned to Encino’s home after being told there would be another meeting with many people in attendance. She claims that Broner “continued to pressure (her) and repeatedly attempted to kiss and touch (her) without consent” – and that all of this was broadcast live.
On June 5, Saint said, Broner “allegedly made statements on air that implied sexual contact” with her before changing his story when he was told to “stop lying.”
In another incident on June 8, Saint says Broner dumped a bucket of cold water on her without her consent in front of 20,000 livestream viewers – an incident she says was cut and posted several times. He also allegedly told her something along the lines of “give me head or leave” – and continued to falsely tell his live audience that the two had already had sex before backing off again.
Dean the Great, in turn, is accused of saying several times on live television that Saint “slept with everyone.”
Complex reached out to Saint for comment, but she did not immediately respond.
