Few movie cars have earned the cult following that Eleanor enjoys, and now a carefully crafted tribute to this legendary 1967 Mustang fastback is rolling down the Hagerty Marketplace auction block. The car, currently listed as a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor Widebody Limited Edition 5.2L Supercharged V8, has already attracted serious bidding attention from enthusiasts chasing a certified piece of Hollywood history.
The name Eleanor dates back to the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds, where a custom 1967 Shelby GT500 played the role of the car that always eluded Nicolas Cage’s character. This on-screen chemistry has spawned a cottage industry of replicas and tributes over the years, as well as many legal disputes over who actually controls the rights to the design. This particular build bypasses that gray area entirely: it’s chassis number four of a planned run of 60 officially licensed Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor Tribute Editions produced by Ikonic Concepts, commemorating the film’s 25th anniversary, and built from an actual 1967 Mustang fastback donor car.

Transforming a standard fastback into a widebody Eleanor starts with the sheet metal itself. Each fender was hand-flared approximately seven inches at the rear to create the flared shape for which this tribute is famous, and then was painted in two-stage Pepper Gray Metallic with black Rally stripes running from tip to tail. The underside and engine bay were painted to match the body rather than left in bare metal or gloss black, and the car rides on 20-inch Eleanor-style wheels shod in high-performance Continental rubber. App-controlled LED lighting complements the theater’s exterior, including ground-effect projectors that beam the movie’s logo below the doors, as well as an illuminated “Gone in 60 Seconds” emblem and a dash-mounted “Go Baby Go” button that points directly at the movie.

Under the extended hood is a supercharged 5.2-liter Ford Racing Predator V8 engine that produces 760 hp from the factory. Here it was pushed even further and reportedly reached 882 hp. thanks to the OBR engine control unit. Power flows through a TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual transmission and exits through a 2.5-inch exhaust that exits through the side control arms rather than the rear – a detail straight out of a movie. A four-link, 9-inch rear end with 3.55 gears, Total Control Products adjustable coilovers, and Baer six-piston calipers pressing against drilled and slotted rotors let the power get down and spooled back in, while electronically assisted power steering keeps the widened front end responsive at low speeds.

Inside, the cabin maintains that theme with embroidered logo seats, adjustable headrests, a color-matched reclining rear seat, and a painted roll bar equipped with track-day certified four-point harnesses. Speed sensors monitor the supercharged V8 engine, a 1,600-watt Bluetooth audio system with front speakers and rear subwoofers controls the audio, and the dash itself features autographs tying the car to its cinematic namesake. The seller includes authentic Eleanor certification papers from Gone in 60 Seconds, a book with over 200 photos, a framed movie poster, signed photos of Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie, a plate with a reproduction of ELEANOR’s script, and even a matching custom sofa, making it as much of a memento as the driver’s car.
