EastEnders is set to begin a new romance for Lynda Carter when a new character arrives on the Square. Earlier this month it was announced that the former Accident star Jason Darr joins the show for a guest appearance as a local councilor named Clive Masters, who befriends Linda.
In recent weeks, Linda has organized a salsa dancing class at the community center as a sober activity for Walford residents.
In scenes airing next week, the lesson doesn’t go according to plan, but the silver lining is the instant spark between Linda and Clive.

Worried that the community center will close, Linda turns to Ian for advice. Ian arranges for Councilor Clive to meet Linda, and it becomes clear that he likes Linda.
Linda brings the women of Walford together to discuss ways to save the community center and is delighted when Clive comes to the rescue.
Later, sensing the chemistry between Clive and Linda, Elaine decides she wants to play matchmaker.

“Sparks fly, and Linda’s brief reunion with Max at this point seems a million years away. Elaine notices the chemistry and tries to play matchmaker, but will she be successful?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One. The show also airs on BBC iPlayer, with most episodes airing early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
