Nathan Smith has been named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for June 2026 after an outstanding run of performances for New Zealand during the ongoing tournament. ICC World Test Championship.
Smith had a brilliant month, leading New Zealand’s memorable 2-1 Test series win in England.
The Black Caps player beat Mosadeq Hossain of Bangladesh and Shubman Gill of India to win the award.
“It’s really special. It’s been a great tour of England for the boys and it’s really cool,” Smith said after receiving the award. “I don’t usually compete for individual awards, but it’s nice to get this recognition and, more importantly, to contribute to winning the series.
“Personally, I was very pleased to contribute to the victory. That’s all I want to do for New Zealand – try my best and contribute in any way I can.”
