Countryfile presenter Matt Baker and his wife Nicola have been married for more than 20 years and have two children, but they both pursue their own careers – Nicola is now a published children’s author, the couple revealed about Lorraine.

Countryfile presenter Matt Baker and his wife Nicola opened up about being “separated” as she opened up about leaving the farm and starting an exciting new career venture.
In recent years, fans have watched the husband and wife duo on the hugely popular Channel 4 series. Our farm in the Dalesin which the former Blue Peter presenter runs a sheep farm with his wife near where Matt grew up in the Durham hills.
However, although Nicola spent most of her working life in physiotherapy while raising two children, she continued to write over the years.
While it was never more than a hobby, she recently turned it into a full-time career, now with three children’s novels to her credit and more in the works.

While Matt continued his television work in the meantime, during a recent appearance on Lorraine show, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Lorraine said: “You do your own thing, write books, and do your own thing around Britain, so there are times when you are apart. But don’t you think it works sometimes?”
Matt talked about how they’ve both been enjoying their different endeavors lately. He responded, “We’re such proactive people in our lives, and we’re so supportive of what each other wants, that we’ve just found our way.”

Despite busier schedules which mean they see each other less now, Nicola reflects on how it has improved the quality of their time together: “We make the most of the time we have together, prioritize and make the most of it.”
The couple’s romance began by chance when Matt was performing at a disco in Cleethorpes, and they subsequently married. More than two decades after their wedding, they have two children, Molly and Luke.
After the release of her first children’s book Whistledown Farm Adventure: Finding HopeIn February last year, Nikola published two more games from this series – Rescue Ruby And Meeting with Meg – The fourth issue is planned for the end of this year.

As well as giving a glimpse into his life with Nicola, Matt is due to appear on TV this afternoon alongside Sammy Kinghorn in East Devon in the final episode of the series. Countryfile.
Viewers can also look forward to the return of Adam Henson, who looks after young animals on his Cotswolds farm.
