The construction holiday got off to a tragic start on the roads on Friday when a family was killed in a violent head-on collision in Lantier in the Laurentian Mountains.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rolland-Cloutier Boulevard and Chemin-du-Lac-Dufresne, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
