Miss Guadeloupe 2026 was and will remain Julia Désiré, a 20-year-old candidate representing the commune of Abim. This queen of beauty, elegance, eloquence and determination has become the ambassador of the archipelago! She will have the opportunity to participate in the national elections for Miss France 2027.
In her first performance as Miss Julia Desiree expressed her emotions and thanked the Guadeloupeans.
The girl was chosen after an exhibition of luxurious paintings, each of which reveals a part of the local culture. The show will be staged this Thursday evening (July 16, 2026) at the Palais de Sports et de Culture du Gosier and will be broadcast live on La 1ère Guadeloupe (on television and online).
The first runner-up is Maureen Lethen from Bouillant (25 years old), the second is Lisa Le Gallo from Port Louis (26 years old), the third is Melanie Gosnav from Anse Bertrand (21 years old), and finally the fourth runner-up is Julie Adele de Grand-Bourg (27 years old).
However, the five other candidates, namely the petty-bourgeois Diara Louisette Williams, the Capesterrienne Ludwina Pombo, the mornalienne Aida Gian Romana, the centannaz Soliz Beauge and Mathiazen of Sainte-Rosien Shanny, were not unworthy.

The 10 young female candidates, aged between 17 and 27, presented to the jury and the public their strengths, their topics of interest, their dreams and ambitions and their vision for Guadeloupe. They developed in the presence of Miss France 2026 Hinaupoko Devez, Miss Guadeloupe 2025 Naomi Torrent and the godmother of the 2026 regional elections, Miss France 2020 Clémence Botineau.
The latter was part of the final jury along with the director of the Miss France Society, Frédéric Gilbert, the president of the West Indies Hospitality Group, Williams Eson-Henry, the fencer Yannick Borel, the founder of Kdolls Cosmetics, Aurélie Danglade-Cadol, the president of the Guadeloupe Islands Tourism Committee, Valerie Samuel-Cesarus, and the singer Jimmy Devario.
