Former Russian national team player Pavel Mamaev told Match TV that England midfielder Jude Bellingham can claim the Golden Ball if he wins the 2026 World Cup.
Bellingham, 23 years old, played six matches at the North American tournament, scored six goals and provided an assist. The England team will play Argentina in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

— It depends on who you classify as young players. If we take the super-young, then there is Lamin Yamal. Then from the status players there is Bellingham. He’s running a fantastic tournament. If the England team wins the World Cup, Jude can claim both the title of best football player of the tournament and the Golden Ball. Bellingham is my favorite player and it’s been a pleasure to watch him for the last two years. There haven’t been such players individually for a long time,” Mamaev told Match TV.
