We are pleased to confirm the signing of German striker Lisa Baum on a permanent transfer.

The 19-year-old striker joins us from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, where she made 26 appearances and scored six goals in one season for the club.

“I’m so excited to be joining Arsenal and can’t wait to get started,” said Lisa. “This league is so competitive and Arsenal is a big club, so I’m excited to challenge myself and compete with the best. I want to win trophies and develop my game and Arsenal seem like the perfect match for me to achieve that.”

Lisa was born in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, moved to Germany at the age of four and began her football journey with Hamburger SV in 2021.

A professional contract with Hamburg followed in 2022, where Lisa helped the team secure two promotions in three years and rise from the German third division to the Bundesliga by the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Lisa made 68 appearances and scored a total of 21 goals for Hamburg before moving to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2025.

Internationally, Lisa has represented Germany in age groups from U17 to U23.

Director of Women’s Football Clare Whitley said: “We are delighted to have completed the signing of Lisa. Lisa, one of the highest-rated young strikers in Europe, has a high ceiling and we believe this is the ideal place for her to develop and flourish. We look forward to watching her journey here with us at Arsenal.”

Head coach Renee Slegers said: “Lisa is a young winger who will bring focus and athleticism to our attacking group. At 19 years of age, she is still developing and we believe she has enormous potential, which we will support her to realize. We welcome her to Arsenal and look forward to the journey ahead together.”
