This year, the traditional National Day fireworks display will take place on July 13, 2026, instead of July 14. This minor schedule change won’t stop you from enjoying, free and outdoors, the exciting show that’s in development! Here is a selection of the best places to spend time with friends or family.
To watch the show from under the rails
This is undoubtedly one of the most famous bridges in Paris. With a row of columns and two levels allowing pedestrians and the metro to connect the left bank with the right, the Bir Hakeim Bridge is a must-see in the capital. This is also one of the best places to stop and admire the Eiffel Tower (7th district) – and, of course, fireworks: the bridge rises over the Seine, offering a magnificent view of the Iron Lady! And if you want to spice up your evening a little, you can also watch the show… from a train carriage. To do this, simply take line 6 in the direction of Charles de Gaulle-Étoile and keep a close eye on Bir-Hakeim and Passy stations. A magical moment awaits!

To see the bird’s eye view
In 2024, it was recognized as one of the coolest streets in the capital! Rue de Belleville with its bars and restaurants (20th district) is a place you’ll want to stop and explore. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the window is worth the walk and, above all, the effort required to walk along the street… But we recommend continuing along the street to Rue Piat to reach the Willy-Ronis viewpoint, which overlooks Belleville Park. It is here that one of the best views of the City of Light is hidden, from which a breathtaking perspective opens up.

For an iconic look
This is certainly one of the most iconic landmarks in Paris. Situated on top of the Montmartre hill, at an altitude of 130 meters, the Sacré-Coeur Basilica (18th district) and its famous staircase offer a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and therefore its traditional fireworks display on July 13th.

Seeing life through green-tinted glasses
How about watching the National Day fireworks from the comfort of a forest right in the center of Paris? Brand new Plaza Catalunya (14th district), recently landscaped, offers a bucolic setting with benches overlooking the Eiffel Tower. This is the perfect place to enjoy the show!
- Where? In Place Catalona: at the intersection of Versingetorix, du Chateau, Alain and Commandant-René-Mouchotte streets (14th district)
For a 180 degree view
What if, after all, the best way to admire the City of Light and its fireworks is to go a little further? Head to Suresnes (Hautes-de-Seine) and Mont Valerien, which rises over 160 meters high and offers spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower.
