Environment Canada is warning of an impending heat wave that will hit the Ottawa area.
The weather agency issued a yellow heat warning for large areas of eastern Ontario and western Quebec on Sunday afternoon.
Monday’s daytime high in Ottawa is around 31 C, with a chance of showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon.
The heat wave is likely to peak on Tuesday, with the daily high expected to reach 36C in Ottawa, according to Environment Canada.
People should watch closely for signs of heat exhaustion, which include headaches, dizziness, thirst and fatigue, the Met Office said.
They added that anyone showing signs of heatstroke should call 911.

More seasonal temperatures will likely be reached Wednesday or Thursday night, according to Environment Canada.
Air quality warnings were in effect across much of the region earlier in the weekend due to smoke from wildfires in Quebec, but they were lifted Sunday afternoon.
Despite this, Environment Canada notes that looming hot, humid air could cause air quality to deteriorate again.
