Meeting with Norway placed the Three Lions stars on the lists of legends

England set two historic records in their match tonight as Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford continue to add their names to the Three Lions record.

England will take on their Norwegian counterparts in the quarter-finals as they both aim to progress to the semi-finals, where they will face the winner of the next match between Argentina and Switzerland.

Opta Network reported that captain Harry Kane will make his 120th England international tonight, equaling Wayne Rooney as the player with the most caps for the Three Lions.

In the list of players who have most represented the England national team, Kane and Rooney are ahead only of goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who has 125 international caps to his name.

On the other hand, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford achieved another historic achievement by playing his 18th World Cup appearance, becoming the most capped English player in the tournament’s history.

The English team reached the quarter-finals after successfully beating hosts Mexico 3-2, while Norway beat Brazil 2-1 in the round of 16.
