The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the 72nd Combined Prelims Competitive Examination. This examination was supposed to take place on July 26, but the Commission has postponed it for now. The new exam date will be announced soon.
In addition, the Commission also cut 44 positions. Earlier this exam was to be conducted for 1230 posts, now recruitment will be conducted for 1186 posts. However, the Commission did not disclose the reasons for postponing the examination.
What positions will be recruited for?
Many important administrative and departmental positions are included in this recruitment process. Among them, the maximum number of posts for Revenue Officer (RO) is 365.
Apart from this, 130 posts of Cooperative Extension Officer, 101 posts of Divisional Welfare Officer (Women only), 100 posts of SDM/SDO and 65 posts of BDO are included.
Other important posts also include positions such as DSP (22), Municipal Executive Officer (54), Health and Safety Officer (56), Supply Inspector (31), CDPO (20), Sugarcane Officer (44) and Financial Administration Officer (32). This time, 359 posts have been reserved for women.
Hundreds of candidates will have to wait
Due to the postponement of the exam, it has directly impacted the preparation and exam schedule of thousands of candidates. Many candidates have reached the final stage of their preparation with the exam in mind. Now they have to continue their preparation until the new exam date is announced.
BPSC Combined Competitive Exam is considered one of the most prestigious recruitment exams in Bihar.
