Singapore Airlines has long been one of the leading ultra-long-haul airlines in the world, and its Airbus A350 the navy became crucial to maintaining this reputation. The airline operates the world’s longest scheduled non-stop commercial flight, lasting over 19 hours between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and 
New York JFK Airport (JFK) that it has been flying since 2020. It also manages several other extremely long routes from its SIN node.
Based on July-December 2026 data from aviation analytics company Cirium, Singapore Airlines will operate a total of 11 A350 routes with flight times of 14 hours or more, including a new route in 2026 that will take passengers to Spain. This will be the airline’s connection to Madrid, the city to which it is returning after 22 years of absence.

Singapore’s flagship carrier flies its A350 fleet around the world, with its longest routes including destinations in the US, Italy, Spain, South Africa and the UK. The A350’s two longest routes, which are also the two longest scheduled commercial flights in the world, are from Singapore to the New York City area.
The longest is the aforementioned SIN-JFK service, which has a maximum blocking time of 19 hours and 15 minutes, followed by SIN to Newark (EWR), which is slightly shorter at 19 hours and ten minutes. Both of these services operate a daily A350 service. They are served by a special sub-fleet of Singapore Airlines. Airbus A350-900ULR (Ultra-long-range) jets that were designed with modified fuel tanks with an additional 24,000 liters (6,340 US gal) fuel capacity.

The next three longest A350 routes are also in the United States. This 
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), 
San Francisco International Airport (Siberian Federal District) and 
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), all with block lengths ranging from 17 to 18 hours.
One of the most exciting routes of 2026 will be in sixth place with the return 
Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD) to the SIA network after more than two decades. It last flew to Madrid in 2004 and will return in October with flights five times a week, including a stop at 
Barcelona El Prat airport (BKN).

Singapore Airlines operates the A350 on several European routes, sharing duties with the Airbus A380, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 on some routes. This includes flights to Barcelona via Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) and services in three areas in the UK:

Both Heathrow and Manchester are served daily by A350s, with up to two daily flights to Gatwick on peak days. Flight times on all three UK routes are around 14 hours 30 minutes. The upcoming flights to Madrid will be an expansion of the carrier’s existing Barcelona route, while the Milan-Barcelona fifth freedom flight will be discontinued when the new route launches in October.

The long-haul A350 SIA configuration features 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 24 premium economy seats in a 2-4-2 layout and 187 economy class seats in a 3-3-3 layout. This A350 layout differs from the seven A350-900ULR aircraft, which can seat just 161 passengers in a two-class layout: 67 business class seats and 94 premium economy seats, with no economy cabin at all.
ch-aviation data shows that Singapore Airlines operates a total of 65 A350-900 aircraft, making it the most numerous aircraft type in its fleet, ahead of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The airline welcomed the delivery of its first A350 more than a decade ago and took delivery of the world’s first A350-900ULR in 2018.
